Job Title: Senior Accessibility Specialist

Job Description:

Gather and provide information to assist with the monitoring of disability-related accessibility processes and communications flows, between the organization and its partners. Assist with tracking accessibility matters related to residents’ reasonable accommodation requests, fair housing laws and regulations and Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS) issues, to improve agency and partner performance.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in call center and/or case management.
  • Must have experience in reviewing and understanding reasonable accommodation requests, fair housing laws and regulations and Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS) practices.
  • Must have a strong track record of professional achievement in business, real estate, public sector/policy, consulting, or another related field.
  • Must have experience developing work engagement scope and managing third party vendors.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Must be a self-starter and perform tasks under minimal supervision. Ability to understand and synthesize multiple viewpoints and distill information into an impartial analysis for decision making.
  • High degree of problem solving and analysis skills, combined with sound business judgment, leadership skills, and ability to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work across various functional areas and to interact with individuals across all levels throughout the organization.
  • Ability to train and communicate assign management objectives and systems with all stakeholders.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint.
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills.
