Job Title:  Proposal Writer

Job Description: 

The Proposal Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and editing proposals in response to requests for proposals (RFPs) and/or other opportunities.  The proposal writer’s responsibilities include gathering information, formatting the information according to the scope of work, and submitting proposals to the appropriate source.

Job Duties:

  • Develop, write, edit, and produce responses to Solicitations, SOQs, RFQs, RFPs, and ITBs.
  • Research, technical content, graphics, page layout, and design.
  • Organize information in a professional and credible manner.
  • Create strategic and persuasive content to support project.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and present it in a clear and compelling way.
  • Translate technical and other ideas into understandable text.
  • Meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval and contributing proposal status information during review meetings.
  • Source and support bid opportunities for new business and government contracts.
  • Attend pre-proposal meetings and debriefings as needed.
  • Assist with other business development/marketing functions, as necessary.
  • Maintaining consistency in proposal writing by following company policies.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, or related field.
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of the Federal market and government proposals
  • Strong writing and research skills and great attention to detail
  • Strong strategic planning abilities
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
