Position Summary:
The Content Specialist will be responsible for strategizing and producing informative, engaging, and clear text for internal and external channels including email, websites, marketing assets, print and digital publications, and stakeholder and resident communications.

This is a hybrid position. Works in an office environment. May require frequent bending, stooping, reaching and prolonged sitting and/or standing. Frequent local travel which necessitates a valid State of Georgia driver’s license and be fully insurable for the purpose of obtaining clearance on company “Authorized Drivers List.” AH Authorized Driver or Assigned Vehicle.

The Content Specialist will be responsible for strategizing and producing informative, engaging, and clear text for internal and external channels including email, websites, marketing assets, print and digital publications, and stakeholder and resident communications.
Roles and responsibilities
- Producing impactful written content.
- Copywriting and editing of the specialists’ own work as well as the work of colleagues and vendors for accuracy, grammar, impact and quality.
- Interpreting service requests to understand project requirements.
- Providing copy and caption support to Marketing for marketing assets, emails and social media when needed.
- Strategizing compelling stories that correspond with marketing initiatives and agency strategic goals.
- Collaborating with Marketing and Multimedia team members to develop and execute innovative methods to promote the agency, engage the public, and elevate the company brand.
- Understanding key values, goals and targets of the organization and familiarizing oneself with affordable housing history, the current landscape and projections, key housing stakeholders, and governmental entities.
- Writing c-suite and board of commissioners talking points for speeches, presentations, ad public engagement.
- Elevating internal communications and culture by crafting all-staff emails, ‘monitor movie’ content intranet, video scripts, and other initiatives.
- Providing written copy for newsletters, emails, testimonial scripts, event invitations, corporate website, press releases, paid media, video/film, and other initiatives.
- B.A. in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
- 3+ years of communications, marketing, and public engagement experience with a demonstrable body of work
- Meticulous spelling, grammar, oral and written conventions, and word choice for company Style technical and creative writing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and a working knowledge of creative applications such as Canva and Adobe programs
- Working Conditions

- PR and media relations experience is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively, think innovatively, and be solution oriented
