Job Overview:
The Business and Project Manager will play a key role in managing both client relationships and internal projects.  This position is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of staffing solutions, managing projects from start to finish, and identifying growth opportunities for the agency.  The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven track record of managing business operations and projects within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients, understanding their staffing needs and business goals.  Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to support business growth and expansion.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to create and implement strategies for business growth and expansion.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, generating leads and negotiating contracts.
  • In-depth understanding of the Request for Proposals (RFP) process, including drafting, reviewing, and responding to Requests for Proposals.  Search and submit RFPs weekly.
  • Monitor and evaluate business performance, ensuring alignment with goals and KPIs.
  • Ensure the agency is compliant with relevant staffing regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop pricing strategies, budgets, and forecasts to ensure profitability.
Project Management:
  • Lead and manage staffing projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery of client needs.
  • Oversee the recruitment process for various projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and timelines.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal teams (recruiters, account managers, etc.) to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Develop training plans, schedules, and strategies for improvement for associates.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure project success.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and outcomes.
Team Collaboration and Leadership:
  • Provide guidance to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize processes and enhance service delivery.
  • Lead client meetings, project kick-offs, and ongoing communication to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Act as a point of contact for escalated client issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business and project management, preferably within the staffing or recruitment industry.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and exceeding client expectations.
  • Strong understanding of staffing industry trends, challenges, and best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and act decisively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in payroll software, staffing and project management tools (e.g., ADP, Taleo, Jazz HR, Calendly), Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and video teleconferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in human resources or business administration.
  • Experience in managing teams and business operations.
  • Experience in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to drive organizational growth.
  • Skilled in negotiating contract terms, ensuring agreements are favorable and meet both client and company objectives.
