We are seeking a Board-Certified Diagnostic Radiologist with expertise in Neuroradiology and/or Body Imaging to provide high-quality imaging services at our Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD. The ideal candidate will have experience in MRI, CT, Ultrasound, plain films, general fluoroscopy, and/or general nuclear medicine procedures, including PET/CT. This role requires a strong commitment to excellence in patient care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary medical team, and adherence to hospital and regulatory standards.

We are seeking a Board-Certified Diagnostic Radiologist with expertise in Neuroradiology and/or Body Imaging to provide high-quality imaging services at our Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD. The ideal candidate will have experience in MRI, CT, Ultrasound, plain films, general fluoroscopy, and/or general nuclear medicine procedures, including PET/CT. This role requires a strong commitment to excellence in patient care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary medical team, and adherence to hospital and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging studies, including:
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Computed Tomography (CT)
- Ultrasound
- Plain films (X-ray)
- General fluoroscopy
- General nuclear medicine procedures
- PET/CT, including oversight of administration of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals
- Provide expert interpretations in neuroradiology and/or body imaging, ensuring accurate diagnoses and high-quality patient care.
- Collaborate with referring physicians, radiology technologists, and other healthcare professionals to determine the best imaging approaches and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Supervise and provide oversight for nuclear medicine procedures, including the safe administration of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards, and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely documentation of radiologic evaluations in the hospital's medical records system.
- Participate in case discussions, radiology meetings, and quality assurance initiatives to enhance patient care and service efficiency.
- Board Certification:
- Board Certified Diagnostic Radiologist or Board Certified Nuclear Medicine Physician
- Must be certified by the American Board of Radiology
- Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years post-residency experience in general body imaging and/or neuroradiology.
- Proficiency in interpreting MRI, CT, Ultrasound, plain films, general fluoroscopy, and nuclear medicine procedures, including PET/CT.
- Experience with the administration and oversight of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals is required for candidates specializing in nuclear medicine.
- Licensure:
- Must hold an active, unrestricted medical license in any state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
- Compliance:
- Must adhere to hospital policies and Joint Commission (JCAHO) standards.
- Additional certifications or subspecialty training in Neuroradiology or Body Imaging.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Prior experience working in a hospital-based setting or academic medical institution.
- Familiarity with advanced imaging techniques and protocols to optimize diagnostic accuracy.
