Job Title: Registered Nurse II
Position Summary: Registered Nurse II: The Registered Nurse II, under general supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures plans. This is a contract position contingent upon contract award. The anticipated start date is August 1st. Nursing services will be provided to Federal employees of US Army Corps of Engineers, South Atlantic Division (SAD), Regional Occupational Health Center (ROHC).
Position Summary: Registered Nurse II: The Registered Nurse II, under general supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures plans. This is a contract position contingent upon contract award. The anticipated start date is August 1st. Nursing services will be provided to Federal employees of US Army Corps of Engineers, South Atlantic Division (SAD), Regional Occupational Health Center (ROHC).
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in accordance with professional nursing standards
- Use judgment in assessing patient conditions, interpreting guidelines, and modifying patient care as necessary.
- Recognize and determine proper action for medical emergencies, e.g., calls physician or takes preplanned emergency measures.
- Provide a range of nursing services, including preventive health care counseling, coordinates wellness programs
- Assess and treats minor health problems; coordinates health care needs and makes referrals to medical specialists; administers emergency treatment.
- Perform limited portions of physical examinations, i.e., electrocardiogram (EKG), spirometry, and audiometry.
- Provide individual health and wellness counseling; and provides training on occupational health topics.
- Registered Nurse shall possess and maintain a current, active, valid, and unrestricted registered nurse license in the respective State or jurisdiction and provide copy.
- Possess and maintain a current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Must have three (3) years of Registered Nurse experience with a minimum of one (1) year of occupational health experience; OR two to three (2-3) years of specialty nursing experience in a related field, such as case management.
- Possess a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservatist (COHC) certification obtained through the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) within one (1) year of start date or possess CAOHC certification within six (6) months of onboarding.
- Possess Heartsaver Instructor certification issued by the American Heart Association within six (6) months of start date. Heartsaver Instructor certification must be issued by the American Heart Association. New contract nurses shall possess Heartsaver Instructor certification within 90 days of onboarding.
