Job Title:  Epidemiologist
Job Type:  Contract
Anticipated Duration:  8/1/24 – 7/31/2027
Job Site:  Remote after proficiency approval (Mondays and Tuesdays in office until proficiency approved).
Work Schedule:  40 hours


Job Duties: 
  1. Understand the causes and locations of disease outbreaks.
  • Acquire data from multiple sources and maintaining databases;
  • Clean and analyze data to identify trends or patterns in weekly time-sensitive wastewater datasets/results;
  • Update internal and public dashboards routinely each week;
  • Interpret of trends or patterns to inform decision-making;
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure data accuracy and integrity;
  • Continuous improvement of data management processes and analysis techniques.
Required Skills and Qualifications:   
  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree (substitutions may be allowed)
  • Possess strong data management and analysis skills.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Time management skills and possess the ability to work independently within program policy.
  • Ability to use technology and a variety of computer programs (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, video-conferencing, and online survey platforms) for coordinating activities and project reporting.
  • Must have home internet access.
  • Experience in statistical analysis and proficiency with statistical software (SAS, R, Python, or SQL)
  • Experience with or ability to learn Tableau for data visualization.
  • Experience with or ability to learn REDCap
